Loop Head Peninsula

At the end of R478 lay the Loop Head peninsula--a strikingly remote spot, with a distinct “edge of the world” feel to it. A whitewashed lighthouse stands at the tip of the head, but there are no shops, no signposts—nothing but birds, wild flowers and the surf pounding against the cliffs. It's incredible sweeping views even allow you to see the different weather fronts coming in over the isle.

To sum up the time we spent here in one word would be simple: majestic.
